Aloha, my name is Dolena Brand. My son Kodin has Angelman Syndrome. Kodin is the only child in the world that I, or anyone else has ever heard of that functions like he does. Being a high functioning Angelman child, with handsome features does not make life easier for him, or I . I am here to tell stories of Kodin and I. How we deal, what we have been through, and where we will go!

Kodin April, 25th-Monday
Aloha, my name is Dolena Brand. My son, Kodin has a rare genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome. I am looking for a place to express what Kodin is all about. How he is different than any other person, and how we deal with that.
Basically today with no school was the end of an incredibly long weekend. Many people may have been with family, but Kodin and I are from the Big island of Hawaii, and don't have family anywhere close to La Crosse, WI. I do consider some of my friends here pretty close to family, but alas, my blood is almost a full 24 hours of airports and layovers, oh, and $moola$. The story of why we are here will eventually come to be. It is 8:30, and I have just started this blog..so I will continue tomorrow.
